Compassion ministries

Compassion Ministries is comprised of various groups that provide physical and spiritual support for individuals and families who are in need in our community. We provide meals, groceries and pray with all who come seeking help, remembering that Jesus calls us to minister to the overlooked and ignored in our society in Matthew 25: 44-45.

School Supplies Giveaway

As a part of our calling to be a blessing to our neighborhood we host a free School Supplies event at the end of Summer in preparation for students going back to school.  We offer it as a gift to any family in our community.  We believe that our Lord desires us to care for the physical needs of people as well as share His love and Gospel with them.

The Friends Pantry

"It's not us that is feeding them, it's God."

real help

Real Help is a long standing ministry supported by GGFC in partnership with several other local congregations.  For years, our goal has been to provide a hot meal for those in need within our community and to demonstrate the love of Christ through action.  We also offer groceries to anyone who comes as well.  Please consider partnering with us to bless our neighbors in need by contacting Mary Kramer.

friends pantry

Our Friends Pantry began in 2014 in response to the needs of individuals and families in our neighborhood.  Each Saturday morning we open up the pantry doors to provide free groceries for anyone who needs them.  No ID is required, we simply want our neighbors to come and get food support when they need it.  If you're looking for a way to love on our neighborhood for Christ as well as meet peoples' physical needs, please join us on Saturdays at 8:00 AM or contact Lys Howard.
